Annual Running Costs Spain

Annual running costs are much less than in the UK . The following is an example of what you can expect to pay for a typical two bedroom property.

Urbanisation Fees £250 approx

Summa /Rates £150

Property Tax £150

Insurance £130

Utilities (water / electricity) £150 – £250 depending on usage.

Fiscal Representation £100

Regular payments for water and electricity can be paid by direct debit from your Spanish bank account. All other payments are yearly; these can also be paid by direct debit.

Community fees are paid to the ‘community of owners’ on the complex or urbanisation where your property is. This payment is to ensure all communal areas like the pool, pathways and gardens are kept clean, clear and maintained

The only properties that would not have to pay this fee would be individual private villas.
